The system of doing Archana (Chanting of hymns/songs/slokas to the deity of the Lord/Goddess) in Tamil has been introduced in the famous Chennai Vadapalani Temple of Lord Muruga.

This has been hugely welcomed by the devotees!

The Hindu Religious and Endowment Board had ordered a few years ago that Archanas can be performed in Tamil as well in all temples. Yet, until recent times, most temples did not introduce the system of Tamil Archanas. However, people from various sectors have been emphasising that Tamil Archanas should be performed in all the temples.

There has been huge popular, favourable, and appreciative response from all devotees! They have now started looking forward to this system being extended in all other temples as well!
