DMK rolls out candidate list for by poll election

At a time when the Election Commission has finally announced by-poll dates, here comes the DMK candidate list. Today, an official statement from MK Stalin, the DMK President lists out the candidate list for each and every constituency:
· Pongalur N Palaniswami to contest in Sulur
· P Saravanan to contest in Thiruparankundram
· MC Shanmugaiyah to contest in Ottapidaram
V Senthil Balaji who is a former MLA in Aravakurichi and had quit with TTV Dhinakaran to join the DMK party is to step in for reelection.
During June 2018, the Madras High Court had nullified the candidature of V Senthil Balaji of Aravakurichi and R Kandaraj of Ottapidaram constituencies while tehre were 16 more colleagues who were under anti-defection law.
On May 19, the by-poll elections are to be held in these 4 constituencies which means there is almost 1 month time period following the Lok Sabha elections and the 18 by-poll elections that are to take place on April 18.
