If any school headmaster or principal does not adhere to the RTE Act above, he/she would be responsible for the consequences.

The guidelines provide for the examination results for 6th, 7th, and 8th Standards must be strictly adhered and the result should be released after approval from the concerned analytical supervisors.

Once the examination results are announced, the list of the boys/girls students who had not passed the 9th Standard Annual Examination must be sent immediately with a copy to the District Education Officer and another copy to the setter of the question papers.

All the analytical officers and the school principals/headmasters are strictly advised to ensure with their responsibility that there should be no complaints about the results of the examinations.

Immediate examination to be organised for failed 9th Standard students

Generally, as per the present procedure, if a student fails in the 9th Standard after the annual Examinations, he/she needs to repeat by studying in the same class again and then pass. However, the State Government Department of School Education has now come up with an arrangement to conduct an examination for the 9th Standard failed students immediately after the previous results and facilitate these failed candidates to join the SSLC classes.’

In the related report, it is mentioned: ‘A copy of the list of students who had failed in the 9th Standard signed by the school headmaster/principal must be sent to Approvement Council and another copy to the Primary Education Officer.`

It is announced that for the students who failed in the 9th Standard examinations, another examination will be conducted immediately from 3rd June to 10th June.
