Filing petitions now possible with TNSCB web portal

At regional offices or in the headquarters we could see many people filing their petitions and by this the people waste their precious time plus money in their travel. This won’t be an issue hereafter. The point is people would be able to file their petitions with the TNSCB or Tamil Nadu State Clearance Board online facility itself. On Thursday, 7th March 2019, Housing secretary, Mr. S. Krishnan grabbed many eyeballs when he launched this online facility to help the people.

It is said that at present this online facility is available in the headquarters and in the estate offices and later it would be expanded for the benefit of the public. The people would be able to file their petitions from anywhere in the future. The information collected is people could log on to the website www.tnscb.org. Application status as well as acknowledgement would be got online by the petitioners. One superb piece of news is an app would be launched soon and many would get benefited by this app. Board meeting on the state transport corporation took place on Thursday and transport secretary, Mr. J. Radhakrishnan made his presence felt in the meeting.

He spoke about how in the past 8 months as many as 2316 buses worth Rs 603 crores were launched. He explained about the importance of maintaining these buses and said to earn more revenue these buses must be maintained properly.

The transport secretary then shed light on the efforts that were taken to introduce electric buses with the help from C40 or Clean Bus Declaration. He elucidated that the electric buses would be plied in Chennai, Madurai and Coimbatore in the phase-1 and added that the required infrastructure was being built for this. It must be noted that over 1.20 lakh staffs are working in the transport corporations now. The transport secretary finally asked the managing directors to organise grievance day every week so that the grievances of the staffs could be rectified.

To achieve the set target of Rs 11513 crores for 2018-19, the commercial tax minister, Mr. K.C. Veeramani took part in a review meeting of the Registration Department.
