The Tamil Nadu state Chief Election Officer Satyaprada Sahu has informed that presently, there are 5.91 Crores voters in the state of Tamil Nadu.
Satyaprada Sahu released the final voters` list of the state of Tamil Nadu today (Thursday, 31st January) in Chennai. While addressing the gathering, he informed that as per the final voters list prepared, there are 5.91 Crores voters in Tamil Nadu. 2.92 Crores are men and 2.98 Crores are women. 5472 persons belong to the 3rd gender.
Sholinganallur is the constituency with the maximum number of voters in Tamil Nadu. There are 618695 voters in this constituency.
The names of 97 persons residing abroad have also been included in this final voters list. Thiruppankundram is the constituency with the maximum number of voters in the age group 18-19. There are 7696 young voters in this constituency.
562937 names have been removed from the list due to reasons such as death or shifting of residence.
The constituency with the minimum number of voters is Chennai Port. There are 166515 voters here. 4.50 Lakhs new voters have been included.
