Northeast monsoon rainy season to bring 12% more rains than normal in Tamil Nadu

The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that the northeast monsoon rainy season this year will bring 12% more rains than normal.

The Director of the Chennai Meteorological Centre has explained regarding the rain forecast for rains in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry that it has been raining in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry due to the phenomenon of thermal convection and the cyclonic format in the upper layers of the atmosphere. The rains will persist and prevail over the next 2 days in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. There are prospects of heavy rains in 1 or 2 places.

The Chennai Metro will generally remain cloudy. There are prospects of rain in a few places.

The southwest monsoon rainy season comes to a close on 20th October. The favourable environment will be created on the same date to facilitate the commencement of the northeast monsoon rainy season,

It is likely that this year’s northeast monsoon rainy season will bring 12% more rains than the normal level.
