CM’s Distress Relief fund published various payment details and modes for people to donate money as they wish for safeguarding and protecting people from the flood calamities.

Train and flight services are not operated as the result of the heavy flood. With blocked roads Chief Minister of Kerala insists people and helpers to evacuate from the alerted zones and the money contribution is the only way to cope up the distressed situation.

Death rate reached to 100 and all the flight operations at Kochi International airport has been suspended till Saturday. Heavy rains are expected continue till August 31 as per the instructions of Meteorological Department. Red alert has been issued in all 14 districts. People have been lodged in many relief camps across the state and water retention still remains the same in all the flood affected areas.

Power supply, Communication and drinking water distribution were heavily disrupted in all the flood affected districts. People are seeking help through social networks and limited communication options available to reach outside the flood zone. Authorities mentioned people to contact emergency operation centers at the respective district Collector offices with the toll free number 1077 for donating things such as mattress, toiletries, medicines, food grains, furniture and clothes.
