The upper age limit raised for writing TNPSC Group-1 written exam

The upper age limit for the candidates eligible to write the Group-1 examinations conducted by TNPSC (Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission) has been increased.
TNPSC undertakes the responsibility for the recruitment of the various vacancies in the state government departments and mostly, this done after conducting a written examination. In this regard, there was a recent request by the graduates that TNPSC must revise the upper age limit for the written examinations Group-1, Group-1A. and Group-1B just as being practiced by the central government Staff Selection Commission.
Accordingly, the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister had earlier announced in the Legislative Assembly that the upper age limit for the above group TNPSC examinations will be raised. Subsequently, the government order indicating the upward revision of the upper age limit for the above examinations was released yesterday (Thursday, 19th July).
The Secretary of the state government department of Tamil Nadu government Personnel and Administration Reforms, Swara has released the above order. Accordingly, the minimum age limit to write the above tests will be 21 and the upper age limit will be 32 of the candidates of open category and 37 for the other categories.
With this the upper age limit for writing the above group examinations has been revised upwards for the following posts as well:
Group-1 – DSP, Assistant Collector, District Registrar, District Job Opportunities Officer, the Assistant for the District Collector, The Deputy Director of the Local Administration Development, Deputy Commissioner for the Commercial Tax, and Cooperative Assistant registrar.
In this revised upwards bracket, opportunities to write the examinations will be possible for the posts of Assistant Forest Security Officer under Group-1 and the Deputy Commissioner of the religious Endowments Department
