Class textbooks more than 50 years old can be read in the DPI Complex

A special library has been inaugurated by The Tamil Nadu Text Book Corporation in the DPI Complex. The class textbooks for various subjects, published in Tamil, more than 50 years ago,
The Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Text Books and educational Services Corporation explained in this regard:
This special library will function from 10.00 AM to 5.45 PM on all weekdays from Monday to Friday. Around 1000 textbooks prescribed and published in Tamil for various classes are available here for reading. However, they cannot take them home. This library would be a great book for the book enthusiasts. Arrangements are being made for the readers to specify the books they want to read and to get them by registering online. This facility will be introduced shortly.
Very rare books such as dictionaries and on the subjects of Politics, Physics, Psychology, Education, History, Social Studies, Home Science, Mathematics, and Chemistry.
Books on the subjects of engineering, metallurgy, Oceanology, Irrigation and other technical related books are also available here. For the students who have taken up Tamil Medium in the engineering course, the books available here would indeed be very useful.
Further, for the students in B. A., B. Sc. classes in English medium, the books in Tamil available here would be helpful in understanding the lessons.
