Chennai Egmore railway station passengers can park their cars at metro station premises

The latest update from the Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) insisted passengers boarding trains at Egmore suburban, local and outstation zones can park their four wheelers at Egmore metro station parking lot.
One of the official from CMRL reported the parking space construction on Ponamallee high road of Chennai accommodating ten cars maximum at a time.
The monumental Egmore railway station has only two wheeler parking for the commuters and now the metro parking lot can help the passengers of regular trains to park their cars inside the premises.
Passengers will have to pay Rs 50 for an hour to park their four wheelers in the metro station of Egmore. From the parking lot commuters can reach the suburban railway station through the ramp connecting both the railway stations. Parking security features are in a full swing and well protected for the safety of the vehicles. Though the price fixation of parking was considered too high for some of the commuters the space provision can be helpful in many ways.
CMRL reports authenticate the parking of outsiders’ vehicles inside the metro stations with a thumb rule of giving priority for metro commuters. In case of less vehicles parked by the metro passengers the parking lot can accommodate other vehicles said the official from CMRL.
