Hike in wages for teachers undertaking exam monitoring & correction of answer-sheets

The payments for the teacher for various examination-related tasks such as correcting the answer-sheets have been increased by 15%.
The state government school teachers and the private school teachers are deployed during the examinations conducted by the State Government Examination Board, TRB (Teachers’ Recruitment Board, and Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) for monitoring.
The teachers also undertake the task of correcting the answer-sheets for the examinations conducted by the state government examination board.
The teachers were in a strong discontent mood as the wages for these tasks had not been revised during the past several years. They had even announced they would stop undertaking the task of correcting the answer-sheets if there was no revision.
In this situation, a state government order has been released yesterday (Monday, 26th March) indicating that the wages for the teachers undertaking the tasks of examinations monitoring and correcting answer-sheets have been revised upwards by 15%.
