According to a new study, old practices like yoga and meditation can assist individuals in getting promotions. As per a recent study, in just 25 minutes of stretching and mindfulness practiced regularly, there can be substantial improvement in the cognitive abilities and goal-directed behavior of people. It further helps in controlling emotional and energy levels, the study adds.
The lead author of the study Kimberly Luu states that practicing physical exercise such as yoga help by emitting endorphins, improved flow of blood to the brain and brings down ruminative thoughts.
This research shows focus towards Hath yoga and meditation. And the lead author professor Peter Hall had said that one can have improved focus on the conscious processing power of brain towards with very minimal targets like breathing or posing through yoga and meditation. It also helps in bringing down the other non-essential information. The results of the study were published in the journal Mindfulness.
