CMWSSB: Water tankers can be booked online

How to book Chennai metro water online:
Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB) has informed that a facility to book water tankers online has been introduced.
Presently drinking water distribution in Chennai Metro is done by water tankers taking 6000 trips all over the city.
The residents interested in getting water tankers to their place are presently registering through the local water supply centres. In order to simplify this procedure, CMWSSB has introduced 2 new facilities.
The first is the facility to book a water tanker online via www.chennaimetrowater.com, A confirmation will be sent as SMS to the number. If there is any delay, complaints can be made online.
The second facility is that the residents may also contact the integrated registration centre set up in the CMWSSB headquarters at the number: 044- 45674567.
The above 2 facilities will be available from 8th May. The supply will be on a first-come-first-serve basis based on the seniority of the booking time. There would not be any delay in delivery.
The procedure to book for water in the local water supply centres will also continue.
