A new facility has been introduced in India for exchange of weather information in the mobile phones even without Internet connectivity.

The world-famous Information Technology IBM, in a joint effort with its Associate Company The Weather Company, has invented the nations first alarm message system to cell phones.

The App, which operates on a peer-to-peer basis, facilitates transmission of the messages to the cell phones located at places where the internet is not available where there is no signal available for the cell phone.

With this facility, the farmers and the public can easily exchange information on weather conditions.

A brief on the press release by the Sales Head of The Weather Company, Mr Himanshu Goyal:

This new system uses the peer-to-peer communication exchange system through the mesh network\ between 2 cell phones kept nearer.

In this system, each cell phone located in a particular place will act as a node and will link with the nearest cell. With this, the 2 cell phones can exchange secret information. This communication will not need the signal for the cell or the internet connectivity. This mesh network can be expanded continuously.

With this, it is possible to exchange information without cell phone signal or internet connectivity.

In a survey conducted by the International Communication Exchange Union in the year 2016, it has been found that 75 percent people in India do not have either the awareness about internet or the internet facility. Probably, this latest invention will help these people in a large way.
