The ‘REACH’ strategy facilitates world-class care in smaller towns at an affordable cost and leverages technology to make available services like telemedicine, specialist second opinion services and mobile –healthcare for better management of diseases and health alerts. Two years ago, Dr. Manmohan Singh had laid the foundation stone for the first Apollo Reach Hospitals and unveiled a healthcare blueprint that addresses the need of a growing population and a burgeoning disease burden and in his address, he said, “Apollo Reach Hospitals marks the “beginning of a new era”

Dr. Prathap C Reddy, Chairman, Apollo Hospitals Group, said, “Over 46% of our population still needs to travel over a 100-km to reach healthcare and large parts of semi-urban and rural India do remain largely underserved. Especially in cases of emergencies, travelling to speciality hospitals may not always be feasible. Being at the forefront of Indian healthcare, the Apollo Hospitals Group feels a strong sense of responsibility to align its expansion plans with the needs of the country.  True to its name, Apollo Reach Hospital is an endeavour that reaches out and takes the Apollo brand of expertise, excellence and empathy closer to the patient in rural India”.
