DMK Leaders Including MK Stalin Arrested

The DMK treasurer and former Deputy Chief Minister M K Stalin was arrested on Monday along with other party members while protesting charges of land-grabbing slapped on them by the ruing AIADMK.
DMK workers led by party Stalin held state-wide demonstrations accusing the AIADMK government of "foisting" cases on partymen. Protests were held in many parts of the state with partymen taking to streets to register their anger.
Party president M Karunanidhi had been insisting that the Jayalalithaa-led government had unleashed "vendetta politics," against DMK with the intention of wreaking vengeance.
DMK men were held in many other parts of the state including Kancheepuram, Vellore, Trichy, Salem, Erode, Tuticorin, Coimbatore, Tirvuallur and Cuddalore.
Frontline leaders of the party Durai Murugan, K N Nehru, KKSSR Ramachandiran, Anitha Radhakrishnan, Muthusamy, NKKP Raja and many others were arrested along with thousands of party members.
