Excerpts of an interview with Anushka
Say something on Deiva Thirumagal?
It is a family entertainer with a difference. It comes with the tagline `Love is life`. It harps on relationships. I play the role of an advocate in the film.
It is a `different` film with a `different` script. I play a meaty role which gives me enough scope to perform and a chance to leave an impression among the masses.
Your experiences with director A L Vijay and actor Vikram?
Vijay is a director with good potential. He handles complex themes with ease. An epitome of patience, he knows what best he should give the audience. Vikram is a talented actor and he is serious about his profession. Acting with him will help us learn a lot about acting. He gets under the skin of the character and performs.
Comment on your co-stars in Deiva Thirumagal?
Vikram is a professional, while Amala Paul has great talent. Santhanam not just provides humour but emotes well. Three cheers to young Sarah, who plays the role of Vikram`s daughter in the film. Also, Nirav Shah`s cinematography and G V Prakash`s music add strength to the film.
Tell us about your co-stars in Tamil cinema so far?
In Vettaikaran, I shared the screen with Vijay. He is a great human being and is down-to-earth. He has potential that is yet to be tapped. In Singham, my co-star was Suriya. He is a doting father, adorable hubby and a devout son. He combines all things well. As far as Vikram is concerned, he is serious about his job. He is an actor whose instincts rubs on his co-stars.
