Sony to make high resolution LP player

Sony Inc. has said that it will be releasing an LP player for vinyl recording collectors who enjoy retro music. The announcement was made during the Consumer Electronics show in Las Vegas. Sony`s announcement comes close at the heels of a similar one made by Panasonic Corp. in September last year.
Sony has said that the PS - HX500 will be enable user to store high resolution audio files in addition to playing vinyl LPs. The product serves as an important bridge between vinyl record fans and the convenience of high-resolution digital audio... The device can be connected to a computer with a USB cable when converting analog music to digital files. The PS-HX500 will also come with newly developed arms for stereo balance and a design that helps stabilize disc rotation and keep vibration to a minimum, said the company.
