TV channel on Indian art and culture to be launched

S. Krishnaswamy, founder, Krishnaswamy Associates announced in the 48th anniversary celebrations of Krishnaswamy Associates in Chennai on Monday that his company is planning to launch Krishna TV shortly. It will be a ‘no-profit ‘organization and the channel are launched with the aim of promoting Indian art, culture and heritage. Dr Krsinaswamy said that Dr Subramanian Swamy had volunteered to support the project through raising of resources. Dr Swamy in his speech said that channels like Krishna TV were important to propagate the essential values of India`s civilisation. The core of Indian culture was the harmonisation of material growth with spiritual advancement.

N. Ram, Editor-in-Chief, The Hindu; Subramanian Swamy, and Swami Atmaghanananda, secretary of Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda College were present in the function.

Mr Ram complimented Dr Krishnaswamy for refusing to compromise on basic principles.

Some of the projects are a set of training films on the panchayati raj administration, a TV series on Swami Vivekananda and a film on freedom fighter and film maker K. Subrahmanyam. According to Mohana Krishna Swamy.
