NUMBER OF SEATS OF PG IN MEDICAL COURSES TO GO UP IN TN.

V.K.Subburaj , Health Secretary , Government of Tamilnadu informed that the Government is planning to increase the number of seats of Post Graduate Medical course from the next academic year.Subburaj was speaking at a function organized to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Barnard Institute of Radiology and Oncology at the GH, here. Number of seats in various specialties will go up to 300, he said. Capt Barnard who was instrumental in setting up the Institute of Radiology at the GH in the British regime. Daughter of Capt Barnard participated in the function and handed over the Silver Salver presented to her father on his retirement from the hospital in 1940.The salver has the signatures of the Doctors who worked in the hospital with Capt. Barnard .
