May Day celebrations

Associations representing construction and unorganized workers are preparing for May Day celebrations in the city. The Tamil Nadu Construction and Unorganized Workers Federation said it will organize programmes on May 1 to pay homage to the thousands of workers who have died while at work. Organizations like TN Kattida Thozhilalar Sangam, Tamilaga Kattida Thozhilalar Mathiya Sangam, Indian National Rural Labor Front and Rural Workers Organizations will hold events to highlight the fact that many accidents and violations go unnoticed.
