Analysts have warned that it is harmful to use the newspapers to absorb oil from the excessive oil-fired snack items.

In the road-side shops and small hotels, cut newspapers are kept for wiping the hands after wash. While wiping like this, graphite enters our body. This is because the print-ink contains graphite.

As long as the newspaper is dry, there are no problems. Even if it is slightly wet, it becomes harmful. Some people use the newspapers to absorb the excess oil from the fried snack items. This is extremely harmful. It provides a chance for the graphite to enter our body directly though the food pipe. Graphite thus entered can harm the kidneys, liver, bone growth, tissue growth, etc.

Generally, most of the harmful or toxic elements entering the body will be removed while defecating. However, the case of graphite is different. It does not get removed but gets accumulated. So, the harms also increase. This is the main reason why the instant noodle Maggi was banned!
