Even though many temporary measures can be taken in order to curb the traffic congestion and road peril, but the change of public mind-set and attitude is highly needed, stated by S. Paneerselvam, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic (West) during the ‘Face to Face’ meet organized by the Anna Nagar Welfare Association.
Several Anna Nagar residents consent
their traffic and road safety allied grumbles to the traffic police higher officials.
As of now, the 257 roads in city can
lodge only about 1 lakh vehicles, but presently 1 Crore vehicles dwells the
interim, he added.

the traffic problems, it is in the hands of the commuters to ease the complications

Anna Nagar Welfare Association members
mainly requested for more numbers of speed breakers and anodyne pedestrian
crossings.
Senior citizens also indexed their
grievances, demanding a assessment of protection and safety steps for the
elderly persons.
Additionally, several complaints were
also made by the residents on chain snatching, illicit vehicle parking and plying
autos without meters.
The Deputy Commissioner, S. Paneerselvam
and Assistant Commissioner V. Chellam gave assurance for instant tenacity for
all the residents’ grievances.
