Silambu Express and Velankanni Express from this month

Advance booking for the to- be- launched Silambu Express and Velankanni Express will begin on Thursday. The Silambu Express is from Manamadurai – Chennai Egmore and the Velankanni Express from Velankanni to Chennai Egmore.
The regular service of Silambu Express will begin on June 26th from Chennai and June 27th from Manamadurai. Train No. 16181 will leave Egmore station on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 8.20 pm and reach Manamadurai at 7.45 am the next day. Similarly, Train No. 16182 will leave Manamadurai on Thursdays and Sundays at 8.15 pm and reach Chennai at 6.05 am the next day. The train will make stops at Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Melmaruvathur, Villupuram, Vridhachalam, Tiruchi, Pudukottai, Chettinad, Karaikkudi, Devekottai Road and Sivaganga.
