SSLC public examinations set to start tomorrow (14th March)

The SSLC Public Examinations are scheduled to commence tomorrow (Thursday, 13th March) in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

959618 school students (boys and girls) and 38176 private candidates are to write these examinations.

The public examinations for the 10th Standard are scheduled to commence on 14th March (Thursday) and conclude on 29th March.

The examinations for the Languages (Tamil and English) will commence at 2.00 PM till 4.45 PM. For other subjects such as Mathematics, Science, Social Science, etc., it will start by 10.00 AM till 12.45 PM.

In Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, a total of 959618 (Boys and girls) students from 12546 schools and 38176 private candidates are writing this public exam. Out of the school students, 476318 students are boys and 483300 are girl students. Out of the private candidates, 24555 are boys and 12391 are girls.

In the Chennai Metro City, 50687 (boys and girls) students from 567 schools are writing this SSLC Public Examination 213 centres. Similarly, in Puducherry, 16697 students from 302 schools are writing. There are 3731 examination centres in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

125 prisoners from the central jails in Vellore, Cuddalore, Salem, Coimbatore, Madurai, Palayamkottai, Trichy, and Chennai-Puzhal are set to write SSLC public Examinations in the centres set up within the prison complex at Puzhal, Trichy, Palayamkottai, and Coimbatore.

522409 students are writing this in Tamil (medium). 49000 teachers are being deployed for this SSLC public examination.
