A 2-day special camp to add names to the voters list

The Tamil Nadu Chief Election Officer Satyaprada Sahu has informed that a special 2-days camp would be organised for the addition of voters names.

The parliamentary elections are scheduled to be held in a few months, With this schedule, activities related to the preparation for organizing the elections are in full feverish swing.

2 IAS officers have been appointed as additional Chief Election Officers.

Meanwhile, the Tamil Nadu State Chief Election Officer Satyaprada Sahu had released the voters` list for the state on 31st January. According to this, there are 5.91 Crores voters in the state of Tamil Nadu. 2.91 Crores are men and 2.98 Crores are women. 5472 voters belong to the 3rd gender.

In this scenario, Satyaprada Sahu has ordered to organise and carry out the tasks of voter ID checking, and the addition of voters names for those eligible voters who got eligible until 1st January 2019.

Satyaprada Sahu as sent a circular to all the District Election Officers regarding the above task.

He has also informed to organise a 2-days special camp to add the left-out names in the voters` list with the impending parliamentary elections. It has been informed that this 2 days special camp is scheduled to be organised on 23rd and 24th February. Further, this camp will be conducted in all the polling booths as well.
