Cyclone Gaja echo in 6 districts - Buses not to operate for 12 hours

The Department of Revenue has strongly advised the Transport Department not to operate buses between 6.00 PM this evening until 6.00 AM tomorrow (16th November) as high-speed winds will be blowing while the cyclone Gaja crosses the coast.
As a cyclone precautionary measure, 936 emergency vehicles, 405 ambulances, and 41 2-wheelers have been kept ready for any emergencies.
On behalf of the state government of Tamil Nadu, the district administrations have been instructed to cut off electricity as well s communication links in the districts of Nagapattinam, Thanjavur, Pudhukkotai, Thiruvarur, Cuddalore, and Ramanathapuram,
So, as there would not be ny access for calling/talking on the cell phone as well as not possible to access the latest news while the cyclone crosses the coast, it is better to listen to the radio broadcasts for the latest news on the cyclone!
