Change in the date for TANCET

There is a change in the earlier date announced by Anna University for TANCET - Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test.
It is mandatory for candidates who have completed the courses of B.E., B. Tech., or B. Arch courses and wish to pursue postgraduate courses or MBA courses to write and pass TANCET conducted by Anna University.
Earlier, the dates were announced by Anna University that TANCET would be conducted on 20th May. However, the same date had also been announced for writing the TNPSC (Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission) for the vacant Assistant Engineers’ Posts in the Tamil Nadu State Government. This led to a dilemma for the engineering graduates whether to write the TANCET or the TNPSC examination.
Subsequently, the date for TANCET has been changed. The Secretary of the TANCET Selection Committee, Nagarajan, announced this yesterday (Wednesday, 18th April).
As per the latest announcement, TANCET conducted by Anna University for the courses of M.E., M. Tech., M. Arch., M. Plan, and MBA is scheduled on 19th May. For MCA course, TANCET is scheduled on 20th May.
