Why these famous beaches in Chennai would be sensational soon?

Chennai city is famous for its magnificent beaches are well known. Marina Beach and Elliot beach are two highly popular beaches in Chennai and these beaches are visited by many people for relaxing.
The latest news is soon both the above mentioned beaches in Chennai would get new facilities and features. To promote beach tourism central government would be providing funds and the money would be used to increase the facilities in these beaches.
According to an official, works on retrofitting parks along the marina and Elliot’s beaches would begin from this month of April.
It is now revealed that the cost of Marina beach makeover would be Rs 12.5 crores and for Elliot’s beach would be Rs 8.5 crore.
One beach cleaning machine is making its presence felt in Marina beach is known. Soon as many as eight beach cleaning machines would be purchased. This was confirmed by the official.
People visiting this Marina beach might see as many as 5 beach cleaning machines along the stretch of Marina from Labour Statue to Light House.
It is known that there are many fisherman settlements on the Light house to Srinivasapuram and this stretch would be left to itself. Fisherman protested and as a result of that the proposal to give makeover from the stretch from Light House was shelved.
It must not be forgotten that in the year 2014 a project report at the cost of Rs 40 crores was prepared by the corporation and it included many facilities like walkways, benches plus others like bicycle tracks, gallery, concrete roads etc in the 2.8km stretch between Light House and Foreshore Estate. The storm water drains and road were completed and other components were shelved is known. Persons having disabilities would be benefited by the beach approach facility that would be developed near Gandhi Statue and Kannagi Statue soon.
It is confirmed that information centres would be available at many spots along the Marina and Elliot’s beaches. Modern toilets in 2 more locations in Marina beach would be superb for the visitors.
Watchtowers plus beach umbrellas would be available in these two popular breaches in Chennai. By the month of September the work would be completed.
