Brighter prospects for rain today (17th March)

The Chennai Meteorological centre has informed there are good prospects for rain today (Saturday, 17th March).
The low-pressure one which developed over the Indian Ocean has intensified into strong depression zone and caused heavy rains in the southern districts of Tamil Nadu.
This depression zone drifted towards Lakhdiv Islands and weakened but prevailed in the same condition.
In this situation, humid winds have started blowing from the East and the West. As these cross directions of winds are meeting over the southern districts of Tamil Nadu, the Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that there are good prospects of widespread rain in several places in Tamil Nadu. It may rain in several places in the northern districts and a few places in the southern districts.
