Prospects of rain today in a few places

The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that due the low-pressure zone formed over the Bay of Bengal, there are good prospects of rain in a few places in Tamil Nadu.
The officials explained that there is a low-pressure zone formed over the Bay of Bengal and the nearby areas. Because of this, there are good prospects mild to medium intensity rain today (8th February) in the interior districts and the coastal areas of Tamil Nadu. There are prospects of rain with thunder in the mountainous regions.
The Chennai Metro City will remain partly cloudy. It may rain in a few places in the city.
