The demand for portrait mode on smartphones has been on the rise. Google’s flagship smartphones, Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, have indeed wooed the customers, the demand for the feature seems to be on the rise. Portrait mode has been touted as one of the best features which was introduced in 2017, can now be apparently used on other phones as well.

Google has also worked hard on the new camera application and its features like- AR Stickers, Motion Detection, and a few others which work only with the Pixel 2 phones.

Thanks to Android, many developers are capable of porting either the application or the features which were originally developed by Charles Chow in Camera NX. A new app which has been designed on the similar lines, named GCMod5, makes it difficult to understand that it isn`t the original one. The app allows us to choose between various HDR settings.
