Offers, discounts, cashbacks, EMI options and more for debit and credit cards

Are you an SBI, ICICI or HDFC credit or debit card holder? You got to be overwhelmed! These banks have got in tie-ups with various brands for giving out different offers to customers ranging from discounts to cashbacks and EMI options. The offers are spread across travel, fashion, home furnishing, etc. The big brands taking part in the sale includes Yatra, Grofers, Urban Clap, Nearbuy, Pantaloons, Emirates, etc.
Say, you want to make a purchase on Urban Ladder and Home Town. With the use of SBI card, you will be eligible for 5 percent cashback. Likewise, there is 10 percent cashback on purchase made with bigbasket.com.
When you are buying an Oppo phone, you can opt to buy with SBI credit card to avail 5 percent cashback.
Travel offers
There are different offers for travel as well. For flight tickets booked with Yatra, there is an offer of up to Rs 600. For stay with Airbnb outside India, you enjoy 15 percent discount when the order is made using SBI credit card. For all these, you have to make your bookings before 31st December though.
Free meal offerings on SpiceJet
For travel on SpiceJet, customers get free meals. This is available on Thursdays until 14th December 2017. Your purchase can also made into flexible EMI options with Bose, Lenovo, Nikon, Samsung, Croma, etc by buying with SBI cards.
EMI options are there too
SBI cards are also accepted by brands including HP, Hitachi, Sony, etc. where conversion into EMI of 3, 6 or 12 months period is applicable. According to SBI website notice, there is no need for any documentation or processing fee for the same. Merchant discount is also available for particular products for stipulated time period of EMI, the website reads.
There are attractive discounts and offers with ICICI credit cards as well. ICICI and SOTC travel have joined hands to give out Rs 3000 discount for international travel bookings made. For those who make domestic booking on Yatra, there is 5 percent discount given. On Apple products including MacBook and iPad, there is up to Rs 10,000 cashback.
For a list of retailers including Amazon, Snapdeal, Myntra, Payzapp, etc, HDFC offers cash discounts and rewards.
With Tanishq, Mia and GoldPlus, there is 5 percent discount towards gold jewelry when bought using HDFC credit card. You can save between 10 and 15 percent for travel in economy or premium class. When purchased with Flipkart, you can also avail discounts by using HDFC card.
The cap on discounts
There is however a cap on each of these offers. Check them before opting for these offers. Further, there may be chances in the dates of these offers and so, you got to make your purchase within deadline.
