Selling vehicles to buyers without driving licence will entail 3 years imprisonment

From tomorrow, all vehicle drivers will have to carry their original driving licences. If not, there are prospects of the ‘spot fine’ of Rs. 500. Following this sensational order, another sensational order has come. The new order is that only persons with driving licence can buy vehicles.
Most of us have the desire to buy a car or bike. However, we may not have a driving licence. If you have the notion that you may get the driving licence much later after the purchase of a vehicle, this will not be valid anymore.
The Tamil Nadu state government Transport Department has issued a notice to all the dealers and the RTO offices that only after a thorough check of the proper driving licence of the buyer, the sellers must sell their vehicle.
Earlier, the system of applying affidavit and the n booking the vehicle for those without driving licence and those who applied for LLR was in practice.
Now, the department of transport has announced that this procedure will no longer be valid. The vehicles cannot be sold like that. Most accidents occur due to the person who drive the vehicles without proper driving skills. So, henceforth, vehicles must not be sold to those who hold LLR or those without a licence. If this rule is violated, it may lead to 3 years imprisonment for the dealers. It is still not known how this new order will affect the differently-abled.
