Prospects of rain in Tamil Nadu today

The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that there are good prospects of heavy rain throughout Tamil Nadu today (21st August).
Because of the formation of a thermal convection, there are prospects of rain with thunder in Tamil Nadu and Pudicherry in a few places in the next 24 hours. There may be heavy rain in one or two places.
It may rain in the evening or night in the Chennai city.
