Heavy rainfall likely in Northern Tamil Nadu

It is likely that northern parts of Tamil Nadu will receive heavy rain showers today. In his announcement regarding the same, the director of Chennai meteorological research centre, Mr. S. Balachandran said a few parts of northern Tamil Nadu will receive heavy rain showers with thunderstorms. As far as Chennai city is concerned, there may be intermittent rain showers at night.
In the following days, the rainfall will eventually get reduced. In parts of northern Tamil Nadu including Vellore, Kanchipuram and Thiruvallur districts, heavy rain showers can be expected.
