Chennai Airport - 7-tiered security arrangement for Independence Day

A 7-tiered security arrangement has been set up at the Chennai Airport on the occasion of Independence Day.
Spectators and casual visitors will not be allowed to enter the airport. Independence Day is scheduled to be celebrated all over the country on 15th August.
The Central Intelligence Agency has received information that the extremists have plotted to carry out some serious sabotage on this occasion during the celebrations.
Consequently, the security has been strongly beefed up in all public places such a airports, Railway Stations, Bus Terminus, and temples.
Accordingly, security has been beefed up in Chennai Airport as well. A 7-tiered security arrangement has been set up both inside and outside the airport vicinity.
As a precautionary measure, the public who come to give a send-off to their friends and relatives and also the casual visitors will not be allowed to enter the airport.
This would be in force until 20th August
