Here comes LinkedIn Lite app

LinkedIn, the popular professional networking giant has rolled out LinkedIn Lite, an Android app. This will be way too faster and lighter than its flagship app.
With the Lite app, users enjoy hassle-free, intuitive experience on the Android’s operating system. This accounts to over 97 percent of total India’s smartphones. There are more than 42 million members in India for LinkedIn.
Akshay Kothari, LinkedIn`s Country Manager for India said this app, apart from being fast, data-light solution for professionals, this Lite app from LinkedIn will also democratize giving economic opportunity.
Irrespective of the device or location, we believe we will take all dream job seekers closer to their job and create a levelled playing field. They can grow their network and get even more successful, he further stated.
The Lite app is developed by LinkedIn`s R&D team in Bengaluru. To start with, the LinkedIn Lite shall get launched for its Indian users.
This Lite app is an inspiration from the various successful lightweight mobile sites that was launched in September 2016. Shortly, the mobile web version and the Android app will be launched in over 60 countries. Even on lower end smartphones, the app will run smoothly and gets loaded extremely fast in just 5 seconds even if browsed using 2G network.
