A nutritious breakfast recipe Puttu with rye and sprouts of green-grams

Ingredients
·        Rye flour – 1 cup

·        Sprouted green-gram – Half cup

·        Scaraped coconut -  half cup

·        Ghee (clarified butter) – 1 teaspoon

The recipe
·        Take a frying pan. Drop a teaspoon of ghee. Once a bit warm, add the rye flour and fry – till the aroma develops and let cool.

·        Add warm water little by little and mix smooth without any lumps.

·        Take the mould for making ‘puttu’ Fill up layers of rye flour, sprouts, and coconut one upon another.

·        Steam for 10 minutes using the puttu vessel.

Nutritious and yummy rye puttu is ready to eat.

This is an excellent breakfast for diabetics.
