Chennai rain update - Short spells of moderate rains likely most preferably in North Chennai

If Chennai has to get widespread rains like the one happened on June 6, 19 and 23rd then monsoon has to be weak. But right now, the west coast is damn wet, which means Chennai will get only weak non towering clouds. This will not give intense rains but moderate brief spell of rains.
Lets be happy that west coast is getting pounded. Most of the dams and lifeline of farmers lies there. Monsoon is expected to go slightly weak some time in the late 1st week of July / 2nd week of July. That will be our time for getting intense Thunderstorms.
Enjoy the brief rains in Chennai. North Chennai might get most of it.
