Interested in studying Law in government law colleges?

Applications are invited from interested candidates to join the graduate course in Law for the academic year 2017-18 in the Government Law Colleges in the state of Tamil Nadu associated with the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University).

The Government Law colleges are located in Chennai, Madurai, Trichy, Coimbatore, Thirunelveli, Chengalpattu, and Vellore in Tamil Nadu. New Law Colleges are set to be started in the academic year 2017-18 in Villupuram, Dharmapuri, and Ramanathapuram.

There are 2 types of graduate courses in Law. The 1st is a 5-year integrated course offering B. A.L.L.B.

The 2nd course is a 3-year course offering L.L.B.

Age Limit and qualification: For the 5-year course, a pass in +2 is required 40% mark for SC/ST candidates and 45% for other communities.

For the 3-year course, candidates must be graduates in any faculty - 40% mark for SC/ST candidates and 45% for other communities.

There is no age limit for applying to join these courses.

Application

Applications are available in the Law colleges mentioned above and the district collector offices in Villupuram, Dharmapuri, and Ramanathapuram.

For the application form, the fee is Rs. 250 for SC/ST candidates. It is Rs. 500 for others.

Candidates interested in getting it by post will have to pay more Rs.350 for SC/ST and Rs. 600 for others.

They need to write a letter requesting the application form to be sent by post to the following address:

The application fee must be paid with proper challan in any branch of Indian Bank. These challans can be obtained from the offices in Law colleges. Otherwise, they can be downloaded from the website: www.tndalu.ac.in.

The filled up applications attached with all requisite documents can be submitted directly to the Offices of the Principal of the Law College or the District Collectors Offices in Villupuram, Dharmapuri, and Ramanathapuram.

The last date for applying is 23rd June 2017 for the 5-year course. It is 17th July 2017 for the 3-year course.

Admission

The admissions will be given on the basis of marks obtained in +2 for the 5-year Course and the marks obtained in the graduate course for the 3-year course. The admission will be as per the Tamil Nadu state Government reservation quota.
