Banks closed on MGRs centenary birthday celebrations

With the long Pongal holidays coming to an end, the banks remained closed on couple of days (Excluding Maattu Pongal that was celebrated on Sunday) and Kaanum Pongal on Monday, the State Government announced holiday for the Government staffs that includes schools, colleges, banks and cooperative stores.
This has created a havoc among the bankers, who have been hampered from making their bank transactions from last Saturday that extends till today. Hereafter, MGR’s birthday on this day would be announced as a State Government holiday, which made the Government staffs elated on seventh heaven. Apparently, it has paved way for a disappointment among the regular bankers and dwellers in the state as the situation is already bleak in accordance to the demonetization issues.
