5th consecutive day without electricity; Motor pump business is flourishing too

Following Vardha cyclone, the electricity issues are still not rectified. This has left people living in the suburban areas to suffer.
Making the most out of the situation are short term businesses that are reaping huge profits during this period. Among those is diesel motor machine that sucks water. There is intermittent power supply in Chennai. Whenever the power is available, they would turn on the motor to store water in the overhead tank and make use of it when there is no power supply. However, there is completely no power supply in the interior suburbs of Chennai. Water is one of the major troubles they are facing due to Vardha cyclone. Making the best out of the situation is diesel motor machine coupled with water purification. The charge for one hour of usage of the motor is Rs 1000 and this will be used to store water in overhead tank.
As people are ready to shell out their money to meet their basic needs, they pay the amount to fill water in tanks. Likewise, high priced drinking water also irks the people. There already prevails cash crunch. This being so, without ready cash, people are struggling without being able to pay for these motors.
