Additional page to be inserted in ration cards for January 2017

As there is a delay in the project of linking Aadhar cards, the project if issuing smart ration cards is also delayed by a few more months.Presently, the additional sheets given to the old ration cards are exhausted wit this month (December).
For distribution of food items from the month of January, additional sheets are needed to be attached to these old ration cards.
However, approval is yet to be obtained from the authorities for printing of these addition sheets. The approval is expected in the next few days. The printing of additional sheets will be completed by the end of this month.
It has been planned to attach these new additional sheets in the month of January.
A higher official informed that as and when the ration card holder comes to the shop for the purchase, the additional sheets will be fixed on the old ration cards and sealed. The food items will then be distributed.
In this regard, a higher official from the Civil Supplies informed further that the project of linking Aadhar card with the family ration card is not yet completed. So, it is planned to attach additional sheet for the next few months and distribute the food items.
As per the national Food Protection Law, the details given in the family ration cards are being collected by visiting each and every individual house. The office staff would not visit the houses where the Aadhar card particulars of all the individuals have been clearly given already.
However, in case even a single individual’s Aadhar card particulars are not included in the family ration card, the office staff would visit the concerned house to collect and add these data. Thus, data is being gathered by visiting house by house.
Thus, for the month of January, the ration card items would be distributed by registering in the additional sheet attached to the old ration card.
