Rains in Tamil Nadu for the next few days

Meteorological Department has mentioned that there will be rains in one or two places of Tamil Nadu for the next few days.
Last year the north east monsoon commenced on 22nd October but this year there are no signs of the monsoon.
The deep depression over east central Bay of Bengal moved further west-northwestwards and has intensified into a cyclonic storm Kyant that lay centered at 630 km north -northwest of Port Blair and 815 km east of Vishakhapatnam. Kyant is likely to gain more strength during the next 48 hours as it will continue to move in Bay of Bengal in west-southwest direction. Meteorological Department has warned of squally winds in Andhra coastal areas. The north east monsoon has not commenced due to this cyclone.
At this juncture, Meteorological Department has mentioned that there will be rains in one or two places of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry for the next few days.
