Sales of platform tickets at Chennai Central Railway Station up by 10%!

Though the rates of platform tickets are up, the number of people coming to the station to receive or send people has not reduced.
In fact, the authorities informed that the sales of platform tickets at Chennai Central Railway Station are up by 10%!
The price of platform tickets went up from 1st April. However, as compared to the number of people who entered the station for receiving/send-off earlier, the number has certainly increased.
Platform tickets are being sold at 2 counters at the Chennai Central. More than 3700 tickets were sold per day (a period of 24 hours). Thus, more than 7000 platform tickets are sold every day in the 2 counters.
Currently, after the rise in price of platform tickets, there has been a 10% increase in the sales of platform tickets.
