India Postal Department enters on-line trading!

India Postal Department is now seriously engaged in participating in the e-commerce business.
There is a phenomenal increase in the public trend of buying different items on-line through the internet.
Flipkart, E-Bay, Snapdeal, Amazon, and several other companies are doing great business in e-commerce.
Now, Indian Postal Department is set to join the fray.
All related activities such as creation of websites, etc are progressing at full clip by the Postal Department.
It is expected that this will be completed in 6 months.
It is gathered that strict procedures will be adopted on issues of quality product unlike as being practised by private companies.
Priority is being accorded to India-made products such as Darjeeling Tea, West Bengal Malda Mangos, Kashmir saffron, etc.
With the Postal Department boasting about one of the best infrastructure, it is expected that it can offer stiff competition to the several private companies in e-commerce business.
India Post has also decided to introduce a new Insurance Scheme for Girl children & women.
