Central Finance Ministry Directives to Banks: Do not give Deepavali gifts to officials!!

The central ministry of finance has strictly instructed to all nationalised banks not to give any gifts to higher officials of various departments on the occasion of the Deepavali festival.
Nationalised Banks and Insurance Corporations follow the tradition of offering costly gift articles to the higher officials every year during the occasion of Deepavali festival. They had commenced making arrangements for the gifts this year as well. However, the current BJP government has been adopting stringent measures on expenses; It has followed a standpoint not to offer any free items or gift articles to anyone.
As per this, the ministry of finance has issues strict instructions not to offer any gift articles to higher officials on the occasion of Deepavali.
