Lost your tenth mark sheet?

We might have heard of rare case of loss of important school or college mark sheets. What would you do in such a case?

In case of any damage or loss of your Tenth standard mark sheet, a duplicate document can be obtained using the following procedures:

  • First of all, the person should file a complaint in the respective police station near to their residence
  • The loss of mark sheet has to be publicized in any daily newspaper.
  • This may require minimum amount of Rs 500
  • Further to this, the individual has to receive a certificate from the police station that the lost mark sheet cannot be found
  • This certificate has to be submitted to the tehsildar and obtain a certificate from him
  • To obtain the duplicate mark sheet, a demand draft is to be obtained at any bank for the amount specified by the government
  • Now, the paper cut of the print advertisement given in newspaper, certificate from tehsildar and demand draft should be compiled and a requisition letter has to be added to this
  • The application for duplicate mark sheet should be sent at the district education department official with the help of principal or head master of the school in which the candidate studied
  • This will then be checked by the official and a recommendation will be given to the examination board
  • According to this, the duplicate copy will be sent between three to six months
  • This can finally be collected from the school where the candidate studied.
