How to prevent the spreading of Dengue fever?

The Joint Director of the Department of Health, Dr, Jawaharlal, explained about how to prevent the spreading of the dengue fever.
The symptoms of dengue fever were observed in a few patients in the Cuddalore District areas of Cuddalore, Panruti, and Nellikuppam. They were treated in the Cuddalore government hospital. Several people have been affected by the dengue fever over the last one month period. This has created a panic among the local public. The district administration has initiated actions to prevent dengue on a full-scale basis.
Dr, Jawaharlal explained that dengue is caused by a kind of virus. There are 4 types of dengue viruses. If only one of the dengue virus affects, the person will have dengue fever. However, in case more than 1 kind of dengue virus attacks, the patient will be affected dengue with hemorrhage. The ordinary dengue fever can be cured by taking tablets. However, if there is hemorrhage, there will be blood and plasma oozing out in the body. Very high fever, pain in the eyes, blood oozing from the gums, blood clots on the skin, lungs affected by absorbed water,
stomach pain, and breathing problems occur. The faeces will be black in colour. If these symptoms are observed, the patient has to be immediately admitted to the hospital for treatment to get cured.
If the affected patient buys medicine on his own and take, there will be an apparent temporary relief. However, as the hemorrhage cannot be noticed, the condition will worsen. So, in case of high fever with pain in the eyes or blood oozing from the gums or the faeces is in black color, it is the best to get immediately admitted in the hospital.
Do not take medicines on your own. As far as our state is concerned, no loss of life has been reported due to dengue.
Dengue is spread by the mosquitoes called ‘Aedes’. If the mosquito 1st bites the dengue-affected person and then another, dengue will spread. These mosquitoes can flu only within 500 metres –so, dengue is very likely to spread.
Prevention
The Health Department is closely monitoring on a daily basis, where more number of people have been admitted in the Cuddalore and Puducherry government hospitals with dengue fever. A squad from the health department is sent to these areas to take preventive action. After taking the statistical data regarding any dengue patients in individual houses collected by the health department staff, visits are made to those houses to check the trace and presence of Aedes mosquitoes in those houses and destroy them.
The department has deployed 30 persons (appointed on a contract basis) in each circle to monitor this. With this, the spreading of dengue fever has been curtailed.
However, the public also needs to cooperate to prevent the spreading of the dengue fever. The public must allow stagnant water in the houses, gardens, tyres, coconut shells, and bottles. This action is warranted as the mosquitoes lay eggs on the stagnant waters which will grow to a mosquito within a week. So, the public must ensure cleansing of water tanks and water storing vessels at least once a week. This will help remove the mosquitoes while they are still in the form of eggs.
